Family Vehicle Roster ("the app," "we," "us") helps households keep track of their vehicles, maintenance, and shared responsibilities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text. If you use a supported sign-in provider, we receive the identity information that provider shares with us, such as your name, email address, and provider account identifier.
Vehicle and maintenance data. We collect the information you enter about vehicles, including nickname, make and model, mileage, service history, scheduled care, and issues you report.
Household and family information. When you invite family members, we collect the name and email address you provide for the invite and, once accepted, that person's account information. We also store relationship labels and responsibility assignments that you set up.
Subscription information. If you subscribe to Family Vehicle Roster Plus, payment is processed through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not collect or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details. Apple provides us only the information needed to confirm your subscription status.
How We Use Information
We use this information to operate your household's shared vehicle roster, keep household views in sync, send invitation emails, let you manage shared responsibilities, and provide customer support when you contact us.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. Information you enter is visible only to members of your household, as intended by the app. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Family Vehicle Roster or our users.
Data Retention and Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and household data by emailing [email protected]. When an account owner is deleted, the associated household, invitations, vehicles, and maintenance records are removed with it. If a family member leaves a household, only that member's household membership is removed.
Children's Privacy
Family Vehicle Roster is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including securely hashed passwords and encrypted transmission. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services only when needed to operate the app, including email delivery, authentication providers, and Apple In-App Purchase for subscriptions when available.
Your Choices
You can review and update your account and vehicle information in the app. To ask a question about your data or request deletion, contact [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
